Right and Wrong

Long ago, there was a special teacher. He had many students.

One student was not a nice person. Sometimes he would take things from the school and sell them in the market.

The other students didn’t like that. They told the teacher. They wanted the bad student to leave school.

The teacher did nothing and said nothing.

The following week, the bad student took more things. Some of the other students saw that. They were angry. They wrote a long letter to the teacher. They wanted him to tell the bad student to leave.

The teacher called all of the students together for a meeting.

The teacher said, “My students, you are all very smart. You know the difference between right and wrong. For that reason, I want you to leave and study at another school.”

This bad student doesn’t know what is right and what is wrong. If I don’t teach him, how will he learn what is right? This boy will stay here to learn.”

The bad student heard the teacher’s kind words. For the first time in his life, he thought someone cared about him. He started to cry. On that day, he learned how to be a good person.
